Hurricanes Didn't Stand a Chance Against Capitals in Game 2

Capitals Dominating the Hurricanes To Start Series

The Washington Capitals took a commanding 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes with a 5-2 win in Game 2 on Saturday night.

The Capitals got off to a fast start, scoring three goals in the first period. T.J. Oshie, Jakub Vrana, and Evgeny Kuznetsov all found the back of the net for Washington.

The Hurricanes fought back in the second period, scoring two goals of their own. However, the Capitals regained control of the game in the third period, adding two more goals to seal the victory.

Alex Ovechkin led the way for the Capitals with a goal and two assists. Kuznetsov also had a strong game with a goal and an assist.

The Capitals will now head to Carolina for Game 3 on Monday night. The Hurricanes will need to win at home to stay alive in the series.
