The Atlanta Braves defeated the Washington Nationals 5-2 on Tuesday night, extending their winning streak to six games. The Braves are now 20-16 on the season, while the Nationals fell to 15-21.
Braves' Offense Powers Victory
The Braves' offense was led by Ronald Acuña Jr., who went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Ozzie Albies also had a big night, going 2-for-4 with an RBI. Dansby Swanson and Matt Olson each added two hits for the Braves.
Fried Pitches Well in Victory
Max Fried started for the Braves and pitched 6.2 innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He struck out seven batters and walked two. Kenley Jansen pitched the ninth inning to earn the save.
Nationals' Offense Struggles
The Nationals' offense struggled against the Braves' pitching staff. Juan Soto went 0-for-4, and Josh Bell was 1-for-4. The Nationals only had five hits as a team.
